About The Event
Nomika and Elktung come together on Sunday the 15th of December for a night of original soul fusion.
Nomika is premiering a set packed with fresh-off-the-pen new tunes and a lineup swollen to 10 by the addition of 2 backing vocalists and a lush 4-piece horn section. Nomika’s cool, dark vibes are influenced by the likes of Hiatus Kaiyote, Vulfpeck and Snarky Puppy.
Elktung bring a mix of soul and experimental pop to the table and blend it into an emotion-fuelled journey. Imagine the music of George Duke and Stevie Wonder glued together with the sadness of Jeff Buckley and you have a fuzzy picture of what these guys are about.
Get along to Black Bear Lodge for sensational grooves, luscious harmonies, tasteful melodies and thought-provoking lyrics as these two bands forge their own paths through the forest of soul fusion. Doors open at 8pm. Tickets are $10 at the door.
